Tour description:
First day
Departure from Novi Sad at 7h in front of the Hotel Sajam. Departure from Belgrade at 08:30h.
Our first stop will be in an unusual Moravski konaci ethno village. Continue our journey to Gamzigrad Spa and visit the hydroelectric power plant Gamzigrad in 1909, constructed by following Nikola Tesla patents and projects.
Free time for lunch at the Gamzigrad Spa.
Continue our trip to the archaeological site Felix Romuliana, which is at the UNESCO list of the cultural heritage of the world since 2007. The former Roman fort, palace and memorial complex was erected by one of the 17 Roman empires born on the territory of today's Serbia - Kaius Valeriya Galeria Maximilian. Depart to Zajecar where we will have a visit to the National Museum, founded in 1951. Second day
After the breakfast, sightseeing of the city: the birthplace of Stevan Mokranjac - the house of the greatest Serbian composer from the middle of the XIX century, Konak Prince Todorcet, built in the middle of the XIX century - the oldest townhouse in Negotin, and today Hajduk Veljko's Museum. We will also visit the memorial room of Djordje Stanojevic, a great friend of Nikola Tesla who was a professor, rector of the Belgrade University, a pioneer of electrification in Serbia. Visit nice winery and time to enjoy in wine tasting.
Drive to the Rajačke pimnice - an unusual settlement of stone-built houses connected with the streets and squares, built in the XVIII century only for his majesty WINE! Here we will have a wine tasting in one of the most famous wineries in this area. (We will also visit the unusual graveyard in this village - one of the oldest graveyard in this area which is a candidate for UNESCO list). Depart from the winery in the afternoon. After a 2 hour ride, we will arrive close to Majdanpek town to visit Rajkova cave, the largest cave in Serbia. At the end of the cave tour, we will make a short photo-stop at the open window of the gold mine in Majdanpek and then continue the way through Homolje mountains and Kučevo to Belgrade. Arrival to Belgrade and Novi Sad in the late evening hours.
